Simbaarley makes you feel like "1 in a Million" with this single
These days, Soca music is not just for Caribbean street carnivals and underground parties; it’s a global movement. 26-year-old Simbaarley is a unique representation of the impact Soca music creates for the world stage after his rollout began in 2019. This year, Simbaarley is staying true to his roots with an addictive new track, “1 in a Million” released by then, BPSoca Music.
The lyrics, written by Trinidadian lyricist, Darryl Gervais, are caressed by the sweetness of traditional Soca grooves. Despite the content reminding the listener of a love-spell storyline, Simbaarley has a different meaning for the feminine energies.
The thought process behind the song is actually nothing related to a female, but about life on the road.
“‘You make me want to be myself, jump up and down and free myself’ - is my favourite lyric because that’s what the road does…that’s how it makes me feel,” he says.
